A.J.Alex，该怎么形容这个中国年轻人呢？一个信仰极端天主教的怪人？一个不世出的天才？或者一个有语言障碍的抑郁症患者？或者只是一个被猜测来猜测去的名字。更或许连他自己都不知道怎么形容自己这个矛盾体。卓越的才华和先天的灾祸同时放到了他的身上，像一场黑色幽默。
It’s always rainy day,Empylver，致吸血鬼的五曲，Hide in breeze，插画，小说，古典音乐，另类音乐，黑暗音乐，民谣音乐……这个“不定型物”和为数众多的艺术家合作，却没有几个人见到他的样子，他不停的转换着自己的角色，被人谈论，误解，然后转眼又被忘却。
A.J.Alex注定了是个生活和商业的失败者，但是他失败得却是如此漂亮。
他的作品晦涩，一边讲着好像浅显到谁都能懂的故事，一边又充满了隐喻和双关；一面拥有无论谁也可炫耀的才华，一面却又自谦乃至自卑。最要命的是他从来也不会解释什么。对A.J.Alex来说，创作出来的一切东西要怎么被评价完全交给了我们，而他只是提供一个存在罢了。
在英国Rought-T与Dying Empylver厂牌曾发行的《It is always rainy day》加上露水十一重新发行的《Songs for Lucy》是他在2000~2008年间创作的两张另类/民谣风格的专辑，其中歌词翻译由他的好友完成——如果不下点心思仔细研究一下唱片，几乎不知道他在故事里讲的到底是些什么。而无论如何好奇，数张唱片，或者一些零散插画，哪怕一本书都没办法讲完这个人的一切。转头，关门，我们早已被关在了他世界的外面。
After Wet Season
After Wet Season（雨季过后）与其说是一个乐队，毋宁说是一个独立音乐人合作计划。A.J.Alex以他的个人魅力吸引了许多如他一般性格的独立音乐人参与其中,这些人都是他的好友。
这些来自四面八方的独立音乐家唯一的共同点就是处世极为低调，并都不同程度的弥患有抑郁症。而且，他们都是只是一些颇为业余的乐手，所以你可能无法在他们的演奏中感受所谓“华丽”与“动听”，也感觉不到他们为了讨好别人而做的努力，代之是再粗糙不过的制作手法和甚至有些许随便的演奏。
而在这些乐手之外还有更多客座乐手的加入，如A.J.Alex的老朋友Bluroasis，印度草乐队的主音吉他手cat等等。他们有的负责了一段器乐，几句和声，有的甚至只是负责按按打火机，这让这个计划更像一次随意的聚会。

为Lucy唱了什么并不见得那么重要，重要的是谁是Lucy。
如果你是一句旋律，我会用最美的音符唱你，但你的名字叫Lucy ——这句情深款款的却又无可奈何的主旨贯穿了整个集子。A.J.Alex将私人情感经历写入每一个音符，然后和After Wet Season一同奏起。
2月份的时候，A.J.Alex的一位朋友（他也同时是after wet season的成员）从海边邮寄来几本磁带，里面装着分别A.J.Alex在2007~2008年间陆续录制的一批demo，器乐；之后又在邮箱里传来一个文件——长达1一个小时的海洋声采样。
我把他们录进电脑，进行了一次拼合整理。
这些demo录制得很随意，大概是在创作的当天就录制完毕，之后再与after wet season共同添加其他器乐，喇叭，电风琴，更多的是木bass，爵士鼓和木吉他。大概也都是只录一遍。
每首歌和每首歌之间都因为当时情绪的不同有很大的差异。若是单从音乐来考虑，不如叫它们为单曲集，而它们唯一的共同处，就是全部写给一个唤作Lucy的女人。
这样的制作方式可想而知，即使经过了母带处理，也是没有任何精致音质可言的。奇妙的是，在沙沙作响的磁粉摩擦与幽幽海潮声之中，这些demo让人产生了一种难以言状的感觉。
我想他们并不是没有能力多花点时间将这些歌曲制作得精致华丽，但在粗糙的录音和制作之下，我们更直接的听到那些简单朴实，献给Lucy的伤心歌谣。
A.J.Alex对于深情款款的情歌无疑是业余的，他“讲故事”式的歌词甚至不算是标准的情歌，由他的好友们组成的After wet season在音乐配器上也是显得并不专业的。
不再是Empylver故事里的战士，也不是致吸血鬼的五曲里黑着眼圈苍白面孔的钢琴家，A.J.Alex和after wet season只是像一群有故事的男人在海边的旅店坐着，对着录音机弹弹琴，絮叨着，叹息着。
他们并没有提到“心碎”这个词，但是这些demo已可以说明一切。
丢失在海边的这些demo是否迷人？这已经不是问题。直到耳朵熟悉了这粗糙的音效，什么都不做，看着歌词开始走神。在这一曲曲失落的故事前无法言语。

这是一个真实的故事：面色苍白的男人爱上有着艳红嘴唇的妓女，他们在下雨的屋檐下相伴，消磨悲伤与失神的午后。喝干最后一滴酒，男人扣动了扳机，将她永远留在身边。叫人揣摩的并非这个故事本身，而是男人那时的心思。
这张集子是前者是与他的好友Bluroasis在2000年以上述故事为蓝本共同创作的，试图站在这个情杀者的角度去剖析惨剧发生前的心理。全部的录音在一间小屋子内完成，颇为lofi。其中贯穿整张唱片的雨声直接来自在屋子里的采样。并在英国厂牌发行过磁带版本，后因该独立厂牌倒闭而绝版多年。后在Dying Empylver重新发行的这个集子直接翻录自磁带，后又重新做了数码处理。
